To all our Richmor Rental Customers (non-students). As of April 16th, 2004 Richmor Aviation, Inc., will no longer have the ability to rent aircraft to customers due to an insurance change. A new company has been established at Poughkeepsie, Schenectady, and Hudson bases called Kitty Hawk Rentals LLC. Renters will have the ability to rent the Cessna 172SP at each base with more aircraft to be put into Kitty Hawk in the near future.

Also there are no longer night flight restrictions so you can now rent at night as well as IFR. The other rules are available when you sign into the Kitty Hawk site. Renters will need to re-input your information as a new user.

You must have a credit card on file as you will be BILLED DIRECTLY FOR THE AIRCRAFT. You can schedule yourself on line as usual. When you get to Richmor the aircraft will be dispatched to you on behalf of Kitty Hawk Rentals LLC.

SCHEDULING GUIDELINES

The Aircraft can be scheduled at anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including the same day.

Flights can't be scheduled more than 90 days in advance. However, please do not schedule for more time than you plan on flying the aircraft. We only, at this time, have 1 aircraft available to our renters at each base. If you plan on flying for only 2 hours, please schedule it for only 2 hours to allow other renters to be able to utilize the aircraft as well.

Effective November 1, 2006, if an aircraft is scheduled for three hours or more in the course of day, cancellation will require 24 hour notice, failure to do so will result in a $25.00 cancellation fee. Exceptions for weather will be dealt with on a case by case basis. We regret the implementation of this new policy however, last minute cancellations prevent other renters from renting the aircraft.

You may rent at night if you are night qualified and you may also rent in IFR conditions if you have an Instrument Rating and are current according to regulations.

It is important that you complete all the personal information in the scheduling program. This needs to complete in order for you to be able to use this program and rent.

Before renting from Kitty Hawk LLC, you will need to sign a new Insurance Statement & Policy that will be available at each Richmor desk to keep on file for Kitty Hawk LLC.

As far as payment to Kitty Hawk LLC for the rental of these aircraft, when you input your information into the scheduling program, you have to go under personal information and input your credit card information. Under monthly payment method drop down, you need to put in "Automatic by Credit Card". The program will automatically charge your credit card for the usage of the aircraft. Because we have no acting agents for Kitty Hawk LLC at each base, this will be the billing procedures for this company in order to be able to rent aircraft. If you have activity on any given month, there will also be a $10.00 fee for that month for Administrative fees. If you do not fly on any given month, you will not be charged this fee.

Kitty Hawk LLC will require every 90 days, a mandatory 3 take-offs and landings with a Richmor Flight School CFI, for FAA currency. Only Richmor Aviation Instructors will be able to teach in these aircraft. They will be covered under Richmor's Insurance Policy to do this. Kitty Hawk LLC does not allow any free-lance CFI's to give instruction in Kitty Hawk aircraft.
